Dear All,

There is probably not much more I can tell you about our current situation, from what you already know from the media. 
You’ll most likely agree that they are not doing a great job conveying the information and as a result majority of population is left with high level of anxiety and fear and that’s not really good for anyone’s health. 

About the Virus

Coronavirus is also known as COVID-19. Typical symptoms of coronavirus include fever and a cough that may progress to a severe pneumonia causing shortness of breath and breathing difficulties.  Generally, coronavirus can cause more severe symptoms in people with weakened immune systems, older people, and those with long-term conditions like diabetes, cancer and chronic lung disease.
However some people only experience mild symptoms or no symptoms at all. 

Things to consider 

The virus only lasts a certain amount of time on different surfaces, for example about 2h on metal, like door handles, but much shorter on your clothing. 
With that in mind we’ve been wiping doors and door handles at the studio with Clinell wipes couple of times a day (more in increased traffic), all mats and equipment are wiped after each class. 
Also, you need to be in quite a close proximity of an infected person to be affected, 1m away is currently deemed a safe distance. 

In summary avoid touching metal surfaces with your hands, you could use elbows or forearms to close/open doors and water tabs. Wash your hands when entering studio premises , consider bringing a towel with you to put it on the mat during class. 

The studio is regularly ventilated, cleaned, we’ve been using a mixer of water, eco washing liquid and tee tree oil (natural antiseptic) on our equipment from the first day the studio opened so good habits have been in practice for a while now. 

It goes without saying if you’re not well 🤧 stay home and rest. 

Last but not least this is the time to apply all the health advise out there about good diet, exercise and mindfulness to keep your immune system strong. Stock up on vitamin C, always the strongest contender when fighting the flu.
